
Infrastructure Ontario commits to nearly $28M in loans

Financing InfrastructureIO will support three communities across the province.
Infrastructure Ontario (IO) has announced commitments of almost $28 million through its Loan Program to support projects in three different communities in the province.
The Township of Frontenac Islands will receive a $327,546 loan for a road grader, while the Town of New Tecumseth will obtain $9.5 million in financing for a water pipeline.
The City of Thunder Bay, meanwhile, will be given a loan of $18,016,900 to finance several projects, including: municipal fleet replacement; fuel tank replacement; fire rescue vehicles; storm sewers; public park renewals; rehabilitation of a bridge, pavement and sidewalk; traffic and street lighting; leachate treatment capabilities at its landfill site; water main replacement; sewer rehabilitation; and a water pollution control plant upgrade.
