The Brandt Group of Companies plans to add more than 1,000 new employees to payroll over the next six months as it scales up to meet strong demand.

The Regina-based firm, which operates the Brandt Tractor dealer network across Canada, as well as a range of other related business units, said the major hiring initiative will grow its workforce by roughly 30 per cent across Canada and the U.S.

“There’s no question that our people are the foundation of our success. In spite of some challenging times for the global economy, an incredible team effort has enabled us to sustain our business and weather the storm successfully,” Shaun Semple, the company’s CEO, said in a release. “Looking ahead, the growth trend for Brandt is strong, so the timing is ideal to make a major investment in our team.

Brandt bought John Deere dealer Nortrax in 2019, adding nearly two dozen new locations to its roster, while making it the largest private dealer of Deere’s Construction and Forestry equipment worldwide. In all, the company has over 100 locations, the majority in Canada and the U.S.

The bulk of the new hires will be working out of Brandt’s head office in Regina, Sask., and its Hudson, Ill. location, with the rest spread out across both countries. The company said it is looking to hire those in the skilled trades, as well as personnel for its sales, finance, marketing, customer support and IT departments.
