The purchase of Cervis Equipment Corp. gives Brandt an even larger footprint.

Brandt’s global footprint has grown again.

Regina-based Brandt Tractor Ltd., a subsidiary of the Brandt Group of Companies, has wrapped up its acquisition of Cervus Equipment Corp.

The completion of this deal gives Brandt the largest equipment deal network in Canada, adding 64 new agriculture, transportation, and material handling equipment locations across Canada, Australia and New Zealand. The all-cash deal was endorsed by 97.66 per cent of Cervus shareholders.

Brandt was already the largest John Deere dealership in the world, and this move solidifies its position through greater market penetration and expanded geographical reach.

“The addition of Cervus’ branch network is a big win for customers in all of the affected markets,” says Brandt owner and CEO, Shaun Semple.

The acquisition gives Brandt over 5,100 employees at 120 full-service equipment dealerships and another 50-plus service points.

Brandt plans to introduce expanded parts inventories, increase service department capacities and extend hours of operation at the former Cervus dealerships.

“Cervus staff, customers, and their communities will all benefit from this acquisition through a stronger, more diversified network of support dealerships,” adds Semple.
