In 2018, Pomerleau embarked on a journey to help build the Réseau express métropolitain (REM), the largest public transit infrastructure project in Quebec since the Montreal metro was inaugurated in 1966. Since then, the company has participated in the construction of the 67-km automated light rail system, which will have a total of 26 stations in the city once completed. Pomerleau is responsible for the engineering, procurement and construction aspects of the project.
