XCMG’s global strategy anchors in Europe and US

Heavy equipment manufacturer extends reach

XCMG construction equipment is stepping up its export business with 14 eight-tonne road rollers being shipped to the United States this fall since exporting 10 crawler excavators in 2014 and 150 various machines in 2013.

Wang Min, chairman and president of XCMG, pointed out that internationalization has always been XCMG’s key strategy. The continuous improvement of products and comprehensive support service have strengthened the company’s competitiveness in global markets.

“We maintain the lowest churn rate when the construction machinery industry is at both its best and worst times,” said Wang.

The total value of products exported to America have exceeded $10 million. The China-based XCMG exports over 500 products, including the XCTE series truck cranes, to more than 170 countries. The company has formed an integrated global supply chain and built research and development centers in multiple countries around the world including the United States.

Since 2010, through the acquisition of machinery companies including the Netherlands-based AMCA Hydraulic Fluid Power BV, the Germany-based Fluitronics GmbH and Schwing GmbH, XCMG is making full use of Europe’sadvanced technologies and apply the resources to implement the company’s internationalization as well as self-innovation strategy efficiently.

XCMG now owns three subsidiaries in Europe – XS Holding GmbH (wholly-owns Schwing GmbH), XCMG European Research Center GmbH and AMCA Hydraulic Fluid Power BV.
