Stuart Olson Dominion wins $147M contract for WCC

Stuart Olson Dominion Construction Ltd., the general contracting segment of The Churchill Corporation, recently announced it has been awarded a design-build contract for the expansion of the Winnipeg Convention Centre (WCC).
The $147-million contract will involve expanding the downtown Winnipeg complex by approximately 304,000 sq. ft., while incorporating sustainable practices with a target of LEED Silver certification.
When finished, the WCC is expected to have more than 399,000 sq. ft. of meeting and trade show space.
The project is expected to be complete in the final quarter of 2015.
