SNC-Lavalin appoints president of company’s power group

SNC-Lavalin Group has appointed Alexander Taylor to the role of power group president, effective March 1. Based in Montreal and reporting to the company’s president and CEO, he will be responsible for growing the power group, which includes the nuclear, hydro, transportation and distribution, and thermal divisions.

Taylor joins SNC-Lavalin after 29 years with ABB (a global power and automation technologies company) where he held a number of senior roles, including senior group vice-president of the global oil, gas and petrochemicals business unit, and president and CEO of ABB Canada.

He holds a bachelor of applied science in mechanical engineering from Queen’s University and a master’s in business administration from Western University.
