SNC-Lavalin announces senior job appointments

SNC-Lavalin Group Inc. has announced two senior appointments within its infrastructure and power groups.

The global construction company named Ian Edwards as executive vice-president of infrastructure construction within the company’s infrastructure group, effective Nov. 3. He will be based in Montreal and report to Hisham Mahmoud, president of infrastructure.

Edwards has more than 30 years of experience working on infrastructure projects across Europe and Asia, and joins SNC-Lavalin after six years in senior roles with the Leighton Group.

SNC-Lavalin also named Pierre St-Arnaud as executive vice-president of transmission and distribution of the company’s power group, effective Dec. 8. He will be based in Calgary and report to Alexander Taylor, president of the power group.

St-Arnaud has more than 35 years of international experience with high technology, including as CEO of SR Telecom and senior executive roles at Hydro-Québec and ABB. He served as president and general manager of ABB France for the past four years.
