Hoping to encourage more young women in Ontario to choose careers in the province’s skilled trades sector, Skills Canada-Ontario is holding a networking event on Thursday.

Since 2000, the Young Women’s Networking Dinners and Events have provided an opportunity for female students in Grade 9 to 12 to meet local tradeswomen. Students learn about careers in the skilled trades and technologies, work on their networking skills, and take part in hands-on skills-related activities.

This week’s event is taking place on April 3 at Toronto’s Humber College North Campus, Centre for Trades and Technology, 110 Carrier Dr. The event runs from 5 to 8:45 p.m.
