PCL wins Outstanding Employer Award from The Learning Partnership

The PCL family of companies recently won The Learning Partnership’s Outstanding Employer Awards in the Take Our Kids to Work program.

The award is handed out to 10 companies annually across Canada.

Grade 9 students who visited PCL took site tours and participated in building competitions, to showcase the creativity and innovation of the construction industry.

PCL also highlighted its co-op program, career paths and education.

Chris Gower, executive vice-president for PCL, accepted the award at the company’s training centre.

“Construction is becoming more creative, innovative and high tech, and we need the people to fill these great jobs,” Gower stated.

The Learning Partnership’s Take Our Kids to Work program has 200,000 kids participate annually in Canada.
