A series of awards were presented at the 2018 Newfoundland and Labrador Construction Association (NLCA) 50th Anniversary Annual Conference.
The Rock Awards Gala recognized leaders in the industry. Those honoured include:
- Marco Services Limited, General Contractor Award of Excellence
- Belfor Property Restoration, Subcontractor Award of Excellence
- United Rentals, Supplier Award of Excellence
Aon Risk Solutions was presented with a 10 Year Recognition Certificate, while 20 Year Recognition Certificates were presented to Battlefield Equipment, Hampton Building Systems and J & E Enterprises.
Apex Construction and United Rentals were presented with 30 Year Recognition Certificates. Olympic Construction accepted a 40 Year Recognition Certificate.
Speakers included Newfoundland and Labrador Premier Dwight Ball; Steve Crocker, minister of transportation and works; Mark Casaletto, president of ConsructConnect; and Bob Collins and Bill Ferreira of BuildForce Canada, among others.
The conference was held at the Delta Hotel in St. John’s, N.L. from March 1-3. It included a 50s themed casino-charity auction night and business sessions.
