Canada’s top skilled trades and technology students and apprentices will take centre stage next week at The International Centre in Mississauga, Ont. for the 20th Skills Canada National Competition (SCNC).
More than 500 participants will compete in 42 separate competitions across six different sectors: construction, services, manufacturing, transportation, information technology and employability. In addition to the competitions, SCNC will offer visitors the opportunity to participate in more than 40 Try-A-Trade and Technology activities. There will also be interactive demonstrations on the Essential Skills Stage, over 70 exhibitors in the Career Zone and many networking opportunities with industry leaders.
Special guests include Minister Jason Kenney, HGTV’s Bryan Baeumler and Paul Lafrance, and former MasterChef Canada contestant Julie Miguel.
