Infrastructure Ontario issues RFQ for new Grandview Children’s Centre in Ajax, Ont.

Crown agency Infrastructure Ontario (IO) and the Grandview Children’s Centre have issued a request for qualifications for a new facility east of Toronto.

The 107,000 sq. ft. building will include a range of services for children with physical, communication and developmental needs. It will consolidate several existing locations in Durham region under one roof at a 5.6-acre greenfield site 1465 Harwood Avenue North in Ajax, Ont.

Construction teams interested in taking on the design, build, finance, project have until mid-October to respond to the RFQ.

IO plans to shortlist bid teams and issue a request for proposals early next year.
