Halifax police are searching for a man who cut a traffic controller with a knife in the city’s west end early Sept. 23.

Investigators say the incident occurred at about 1:30 a.m. after the traffic control person advised a motorist that he could not make the turn he was attempting due to construction at an intersection.

Investigators say that after a short argument, the man in his mid-20s came out of his vehicle and sliced the worker on the arm with a knife before driving off in an older grey Honda Civic.

The victim was treated in hospital for non-life-threatening injuries and released, returning to his job.
