Aaron Haimowitz has joined NFP as senior vice-president for construction and infrastructure claims. The industry veteran brings over 25 years of legal, risk management and loss control experience to his new role. Reporting to Jeff Stagg, national claims service practice leader, he will collaborate closely with Adrian Pellen and David Bowcott, co-leaders of NFP’s North American Construction and Infrastructure Group.

“I’m excited to welcome Aaron to the NFP National Claims Services team,” said Stagg. “We continue to advance toward becoming the pre-eminent risk control driven insurance advisor and broker. Bringing Aaron onto the team only strengthens our position in the marketplace and our ability to help clients navigate complex claims, learn from their loss control and claims data, and protect their assets.”

Prior to joining NFP, Haimowitz was director of risk management for Turner Construction Company’s New York region where he oversaw risk management, insurance procurement, claims management, and loss control programs. Notably, he previously coordinated critical loss control and risk management initiatives by partnering with insurance carriers and innovative construction technology companies, a background that NFP says its clients will be able to leverage.

Formerly a Partner at the law firm of Wilson, Elser, Moskowitz, Edelman & Dicker, LLP, Haimowitz specialized in representing owners, developers, general contractors and trades in all aspects of construction litigation.

“We are thrilled to have Aaron join us to help our construction and infrastructure clients better prepare, evaluate and learn from their claims,” said Pellen. “Aaron’s advocacy skills will ensure NFP construction and infrastructure clients accelerate their access to their insurance covers.”

Haimowitz is a frequent lecturer on construction litigation, safety and risk management topics and holds a Juris Doctor degree from Hofstra University School of Law, and a Construction Risk and Insurance Specialist (CRIS) designation from the International Risk Management Institute.

“I am excited to join NFP’s North American Construction and Infrastructure Group and national claims services team and honoured to work with industry leaders such as Jeff, Adrian and David,” said Haimowitz. “I look forward to leveraging my experience to help NFP’s clients navigate the complexities and unique challenges in today’s construction industry environment.”
