The reach of this Calgary construction giant grows larger with this move.

Graham has announced that it has added U.S.-based construction firm Milender White Inc. to the Graham Group of Companies. Colorado-based Milender White, which also has offices in Southern California, is an employee-owned real estate development and construction contractor.

This move positions Calgary-based Graham to grow into a new market and is part of the company’s strategy to diversify, while expanding its capabilities across a range of sectors and regions with a goal of delivering a more comprehensive offering to its client base.

Milender White, which recently broke ground on a 157-unit student housing project in Los Angeles, focuses on complex, multi-key commercial and resident projects. Interesting, Graham also was recently selected to build a university campus in Toronto.

“This is an exciting partnership that I’m certain will develop into further value-added benefits to our clients and opportunities for our people,” said Andy Trewick, Graham’s President and CEO. “Milender White has an exceptional reputation for being a reliable construction partner that delivers complex projects on-time and on-budget, and we’re thrilled to welcome them as partners.”

Milender White President and CEO Bryon White, also expressed enthusiasm about the partnership.

“When we were initially considering a merger, it was extremely important to me that we find a partner who is rooted in the same core values and one that would support what is best for all employees in the long term,” he said. “Graham truly matches the Milender White culture.”

Milender White will continue operations under its own brand, maintaining its existing systems, programs, locations, and personnel. The company’s management and team will operate as a subsidiary of Graham’s Buildings Division. Milender White founder Bryon White remains as President and CEO while also joining Graham’s management team, where he’ll work with Colin Aitken, Executive Vice President of Graham’s Building Division.
