Govan Brown names Joseph Kirk as president in charge of Canada-wide operations

TORONTO—Construction firm Govan Brown has named a new president to take control of its operations across Canada.

The Toronto-based general contractor, which focuses mainly on interiors, said July 30 that Joseph Kirk has been tapped as the company’s new president.

Kirk has spent five years with Govan Brown in several senior leadership positions and has 20 years of experience in operational optimization, customer relationship management, business development and change management, according to the company.

“Joe is a trusted leader and creative thinker who has consistently helped Govan Brown evolve and expand our business,” John Brown, the company’s co-chairman, said in a release. “He is integral to the culture we have here at Govan Brown and will undoubtedly continue to inspire our team and our clients with his signature pragmatism and leadership.”

Kirk will steer Govan Brown’s Canadian operations under the direction of the company’s senior partners, Ralph Govan, John Brown and Jon Taylor.
