EllisDon has launched Uprising, a crowdsourcing platform that has the potential to revolutionize construction problem solving.

Uprising was created by EllisDon to “push problem-solving beyond the boundaries of any one company and into the collective intelligence of the world’s brightest minds.”

The platform is designed to bring together engineers, project managers, superintendents and other construction professionals for collaborating on ways to solve common issues that occur in their day-to-day work.

“Uprising is about creating a fun way to incent construction professionals – engineers, architects and contractors from all over the world – to put their heads together online, solve problems and advance the entire industry,” said Geoff Smith, EllisDon president and CEO. “We are using the online world to drive real-world results.”

– Improving Material Salvage on the Worksite

– How to Achieve 95% Waste Diversion
What Keeps You Up At Night?

The prizes will be awarded to the teams whose answers are considered the most viable, feasible and desirable solutions.

The challenges are live and open at www.iamuprising.com until Dec. 3, 2012 at 11:59 p.m.
