A Canadian utility contractor was one of four honoured last month at U.S. tech firm B2W Software’s annual client awards.

Edmonton-based Epcor Utilities Inc. shared the Best Use of a Single B2W Product Award for its replacement of spreadsheets with the tech firm’s Estimate solution, which it’s using to estimate for and bid on projects in both Canada and the U.S. The contractor said the software has helped it cut time spent on estimating and allowed it to better analyze and reconcile estimates with actual costs in the field.

Epcor split the honour with Severino Trucking, which took advantage of B2W’s Maintain tool to standardize its maintenance processes.

Along with the single product category, B2W also handed out awards for the best use of its ONE Platform and for Outstanding Vision at the 2020 Client Innovation Awards, held last month in Las Vegas. Lancaster Development, a heavy highway contractor from New York state and U.S. Pacific Coast paving contractor Lakeside Industries took home those honours.
