RioCan REIT, Allied Properties REIT and Diamond Corp. are teaming up for a mixed-use project to revitalize a downtown Toronto neighbourhood.

Currently under review by the City of Toronto, if approved, “The Well” neighbourhood will span seven acres south of King Street and west of Spadina Avenue, combining a mixture of residential, retail and office space. The name of the neighbourhood is meant to reflect an area where people can live, work and shop well.

To help with the vision and master planning, the developers have chosen three well-known architects and urban designers: David Pontarini, founding partner of Hariri Pontarini Architects, Jon Pickard, partner at Pickard Chilton, and Claude Cormier, founder of Claude Cormier Landscape Architects.
