A construction worker is dead after being electrocuted on a job site late last week in Vancouver, B.C. when a crane contacted an overhead power line.

According to a report in The Province, the incident happened around 10:20 a.m. on Oct. 4 when a Hiab crane was lifting building equipment at a construction site in the city’s east end.

WorkSafe B.C. and the B.C. Coroners Services investigated the scene of the accident, but no details about the worker’s identity or who they worked for have been released.
