Two major Western Canadian construction associations are heading to Ireland this fall in search of skilled workers to fill labour shortages in Canada’s western provinces.
The Saskatchewan Construction Association and the British Columbia Construction Association are partnering for the first Western Canada Construction Job Expo in Ireland from Oct. 31 to Nov.2.
Being billed as a chance to recruit highly skilled, specialized and experienced tradespeople and construction professionals, the three-day event is only open to western construction companies from Western Canada.
Individuals will be pre-screened for the expo, which consists of two job fairs followed by one day of followup interviews.
The first job expo is being held in Belfast, Northern Ireland on October 31, the second is taking place in Dublin, Ireland on November 2. Followup interviews will take place in Dublin on November 3.
