Cadillac Fairview begins $49M renovations of Montreal mall

Cadillac Fairview Corporation Ltd. has begun a $49-million redevelopment project of Les Promenades St-Bruno shopping mall near Montreal’s South Shore.

The investment marks phase one of a multi-phase redevelopment and property enhancement, which will be one of the largest transformations of the shopping centre since it opened in 1977.

The project consists of four major components:

• Interior enhancements, including new interior finishes and flooring, glass railings, and renovated washrooms
• Revitalization of Centre Court, including relocation of the elevator and replacing it with a modern glass design
• Exterior enhancements to feature new entranceways, landscaping and signage
• Transforming the current food court into an upscale, full-service dining hall with real dishware, an improved seating environment and new food options

The entire project is expected to be completed in the fall of 2015.
