September 30, 2013 by STAFF REPORT
One of Canada’s largest modular construction companies is launching a $100-million project to build additional housing in northern Alberta.
B.C.-based Britco is constructing a 1,500-room accommodation for Devon Energy Corporation, an oil and natural gas exploration and production company.
Work begins in October at Britco’s modular construction facilities in Agassiz and Penticton, B.C. and is scheduled for completion in December of 2015.
This will be the second project Britco has taken on for Devon this year, having completed an 880-room workforce accommodation facility in the same region.
