Despite several days of snow, ice and rain throwing a monkey wrench into show preparations, the 2014 edition of the Atlantic Heavy Equipment Show from April 3 to 4 at the Moncton Coliseum charged full steam ahead.

The 15th edition of the biennial show was bigger than ever, filling the entire coliseum, plus 80,000 sq. ft of outdoor exhibit space. All the major players in the heavy equipment, road building, forestry and logging sectors from across Atlantic Canada and beyond were represented.

Total attendance over the two days of the show was 13,877, and on April 4 the show set a new single-day attendance record.

New features included the Innovative Product Showcase, allowing show visitors to get a sneak peek of the many different products exhibitors would be bringing to the show. And a new “Recruiting Here” feature had exhibitors looking to hire skilled workers display signage at the show.

Exhibitors reported sales and solid leads coming out of this year’s show, and many have already rebooked for the 2016 edition.
