GCP, part of Saint-Gobain Construction Chemicals, has joined the World Cement Association (WCA) as an associate corporate member. Saint-Gobain Construction Chemicals offers cement additives, concrete admixtures and specialty building materials, through the combined ventures of GCP and Chryso. Together GCP and Chryso offer global construction solutions that help customers achieve carbon reduction and net-zero strategies through the efficient and cost-effective use of materials.
“GCP shares WCA’s commitment to supporting cement and concrete producers around the world to achieve net-zero emissions, which is a major priority for our members. With GCP’s recent integration into the Saint-Gobain Construction Chemicals family, we look forward to further exploring and expanding the role that these technologies can have in reducing the environmental impact of the construction sector,” said Ian Riley, CEO of WCA.
“We are delighted to be collaborating with WCA and sharing our knowledge and expertise with its members and the cement and concrete sector,” said Riccardo Stoppa, deputy director of the cement business unit at Saint-Gobain Construction chemicals. “By working together, we hope to provide meaningful solutions and draw closer to reducing the sector’s high carbon footprint, a critical challenge for the hard-to-abate industry.”
