St. Lawrence Erectors lands two contracts for major infrastructure projects in Montreal

Bridges Construction Infrastructure bridges contracts infrastructure project rehabilitation

SAINT-GEORGES, QC— St. Lawrence Erectors Inc., a Canam Group Inc. subsidiary, announced that it has signed agreements totalling $35M for the rehabilitation of the Jacques Cartier Bridge and the installation of the Lachine Canal Bridge as part of the Turcot reconstruction of main infrastructures project, in Montreal.

For the Jacques Cartier Bridge, St. Lawrence Erectors will act as the general contractor for the Jacques Cartier and Champlain Bridges Incorporated. The contract is for strengthening the bridge, replacing existing chords and structural bearings with new ones, which will be provided by Goodco Z-Tech, a product of Canam-Bridges. The work will take place from April 2016 to May 2017.

The contract for the Lachine Canal Bridge installation was awarded by KPH Turcot, un partenariat S.E.N.C. It is for installing the structural steel and precast concrete slabs for the bridge deck and installing the mast and cables. The work will be done in two phases, from 2016 to 2019.
