Time is running out to take part in Roads of the Future, an accelerator program launched by CRH Ventures, the venture capital unit of building materials provider CRH. Open to applications until March 28, the program targets promising start-ups in the Construction Technology (ConTech) and ClimateTech space, focusing on ground-breaking innovation for advancing the future of roads.

The accelerator will identify companies that can demonstrate solutions to specific challenges within three distinctive segments of the roads ecosystem: Smart and Safe Roads; Green and Resilient Roads; and Productivity in Road Construction. The program will offer start-ups the opportunity to pilot and scale their solutions in collaboration with CRH operating companies.

“Roads form the arteries of our society, and the Roads of the Future accelerator is our commitment to driving further innovation across this vital area of infrastructure,” stated Eduardo Gomez, head of CRH Ventures. “We invite start-ups to join us in helping shape the roads of the future, leveraging CRH’s unmatched expertise and scale in road construction.”

To participate, applications must be submitted through the CRH Ventures website by March 28, 2024. Evaluations will take place throughout April and May, with the pilot phase running from June to December of this year.

In addition to CRH operating companies playing a prominent role in the piloting and decision-making process, selected value chain partners will also engage with the selected start-ups, developing solutions across the ecosystem.
