The construction industry is taking a lot of flak for traffic delays and unmanned worksites. Toronto Sun columnist Sue-Ann Levy says the city’s downtown core resembles a war zone “with construction debris, half-dug holes, old construction signs, materials and equipment blocking lanes, piled up on sidewalks or essentially left wherever it landed.”
