VIA Rail Canada has launched a renovation project to transform its station in Brockville, about 115 km south of Ottawa, Ont.

Originally built in 1872, the station will get many new features such as roof, building envelope, lighting and finishes; an automatic door and other accessibility improvements; and doors and window will be replaced.

The building beside the station will be demolished and a passenger shelter will be built in its place. The work will be completed by November 2014.
