Beverley Briscoe to head up Ritchie Bros.’ board of directors

Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers’ board of directors has appointed Beverley Briscoe as chairwoman. Briscoe succeeds Robert Murdoch, who has reached the mandatory age limit and will step down by the end of 2014.

Briscoe has been a director at Ritchie Bros. for more than 10 years, and since September 2013 has held the role of deputy chairwoman. Briscoe also has extensive industry experience in the transportation and industrial equipment sectors. From 1997 to 2004 she owned a transportation services company. Prior to that, she was vice-president of Wajax Industries, CFO of the Rivtow Group of Companies and CFO of a number of operating divisions of the Jim Pattison Group.
