‘Dig Safe’ month declared as spring weather nears

The Ontario Regional Common Ground Alliance (ORCGA) and its members have designated April as Dig Safe Month in Ontario. Dig Safe Month helps raise awareness of safe digging practices across the province, improves worker safety, and reduces damage to underground plant.

Spring is on its way and with it comes the start of “digging season”. It’s an important time to remind contractors about the consequences of digging without knowledge of the hazards that may lie beneath them.

This April, ORCGA members will be leading local campaigns across the province to spread awareness about safe digging practices and remind people to “Call Before You Dig”.
