SNC-Lavalin awarded $135M contract in Saudi Arabia

SNC-Lavalin will be operating and maintaining the King Abdullah Petroleum Studies and Research Center (KAPSARC) in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, for the next decade.

The Montreal, Que.-based engineering and construction firm recently announced that it has signed a 10-year contract worth approximately $135-million, where SNC-Lavalin will offer integrated facility and community management services to the KAPSARC project; which is mandated to conduct research in energy economics, policy, technology, and the environment.

The KAPSARC project has three major components: a 65,000 sq. m. research and office complex; a residential community for approximately 1,000 people; and a utility zone for servicing the residents.
