The board of directors for Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers has appointed Ravi Saligram as the company’s new chief executive officer. He will succeed Peter Blake and assume the role of CEO on July 7, based out of Ritchie Bros.’ head office in Vancouver, B.C.
Saligram’s 35-year career includes three years as president and CEO of OfficeMax and more than 20 years of general management experience at Aramark, Intercontinental Hotels Group and SC Johnson.
Saligram earned an MBA from the University of Michigan and an electrical engineering degree from Bangalore University in India.
He is known for his ability to lead consumer, B2B and digital businesses, and has experience running global, multi-unit service organizations and overseeing large sales teams.
