Inquest into the death of construction worker Justin Wilson scheduled for October

David Cameron, regional supervising coroner for North Region, Sudbury Office, announced September 20th that an inquest will be held into the death of Justin Wilson. Wilson, 29, died on June 21, 2013, from injuries received during the course of his employment at a construction site in Kearney. An inquest is mandatory under the Coroners Act.The inquest will examine the events surrounding Wilson’s death. The jury may make recommendations aimed at preventing similar deaths.The inquest is expected to last four days and to hear from approximately 10 witnesses.

The inquest will begin at 9:00 a.m. on Tues., Oct. 11, 2016, at Parry Sound Courthouse, 89 James St. Steven Bodley will preside as inquest coroner and Wes Beatty will be counsel to the coroner.
