EllisDon wins Seneca College expansion project

Infrastructure Ontario (IO) and Seneca College have selected EllisDon to design, build, and finance their King Campus expansion project. Working with the EllisDon team will also be MJM Architects & Montgomery Sisam Architects Inc.

The expansion will enhance the quality of learning and student life by creating more learning space and recreational areas.  Phase 1 will include the addition of 25 classrooms, computer labs, specialty labs for training healthcare practitioners, a library, learning commons, and student study space. These new learning facilities will make room for an additional 1,450 students at the campus, which is already home to approximately 3,500 students. Other facilities will include a multi-purpose athletic and recreation space featuring a gymnasium, fitness centre, informal study areas and event spaces. Garriock Hall, the main existing building, and other existing services, will be receiving upgrades as well.

This project will target LEED Gold Certification.
