SNC-Lavalin has announced that on November 15, Chantal Sorel, managing director, Capital, was named to the board of the Canadian Council of Public-Private Partnerships (CCPPP) at their annual general meeting in Toronto.

Based in Montreal, and reporting to SNC-Lavalin’s president and CEO, Neil Bruce, Sorel is responsible for the investment and asset management business capability of SNC-Lavalin, which invests capital in projects and manages the company’s multi-billion dollar portfolio of infrastructure investments.

“Ms. Sorel’s appointment to the CCPPP board is timely and opportune. We are entering an era of government investment in publicly owned infrastructure in Canada and we know P3s will play an important role in supporting these historic initiatives,” said CCPPP president and CEO Mark Romoff. “The Council and its members will benefit greatly from Ms. Sorel’s range of experience and depth of insight in the P3 industry.”

“Chantal Sorel’s expertise in P3 financing coupled with her rich experience in the infrastructure sector will be a strategic asset for the CCPPP,” said Bruce. “She will make a solid contribution to the CCPPP’s mission of promoting innovative approaches to infrastructure development and we at SNC-Lavalin are very proud of Chantal’s appointment.”
